Who we are
Freehold, Cork, Ireland. Contact: benoshea96@gmail.com. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Freehold is the data controller for this website and its email list.
What we collect and why
- Email subscription: your email address, collected with double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link). Legal basis: consent. Used solely to send you the emails you asked for.
- Contact form: your name, email and message. Legal basis: legitimate interest in replying to you.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently to serve and secure the site. We run no analytics trackers and set no advertising cookies.
Where it lives
We use three processors, each under a GDPR data-processing agreement:
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) sends the emails and holds the subscriber list. Data is hosted in the EU.
- Notion (Notion Labs, Inc., USA) stores form submissions in our content system. Transfers to the US are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) serves the site and processes IP addresses transiently. Transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe with one click in any email. You may request access to, correction of, deletion or portability of your data, or object to processing, at any time by writing to benoshea96@gmail.com. We action requests within 30 days. You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local supervisory authority.
Retention
Subscriber records are kept while you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe we stop emailing you immediately and keep only a minimal suppression record (your address) so you are never emailed again; write to us if you'd rather have that erased too. Contact messages and subscription logs are deleted automatically after 12 months.
